Strategic Thinking:The Kamloops Indian Band was organizing a high-profile, premier event on First Nations Good Governance – an issue that is of national interest. They needed to position the event in a very strategic way and secure registration among key First Nations leaders in BC. Creative Solutions:As part of the marketing plan for this event, Communication Solutions created a pre-registration event teaser in the form of a direct mail postcard that positioned the event as a key step nationally in aboriginal governance best-practices and pointed to the website for more information. Tangible Results:The direct mailer immediately attracted provincial and national attention. Through the website, visitors registered for an opt-in email updates and this contributed to a major increase in the Band’s database of potential registrants.
